Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer any Medicare or Private Health Rebates?

Unfortunately at this stage we do not offer any rebates for sessions at SEEN.

Can I access sessions even if I don't live in Australia?

Yes. SEEN is available to clients worldwide (except USA and Canada).

What about ethics and confidentiality?

At SEEN, the therapists are registered with a professional registration body, in this case the Australian Counselling Association (Level 3), and so adheres to Australian professional, ethical, and privacy standards. Your privacy is extremely important to us. We comply with Australian privacy laws, including the Privacy Act 1988. Your personal and health information is stored securely and shared only when legally required or with your consent.

What can I expect in my first session?

Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and explore what brings you to therapy. We’ll discuss:

  • Your current concerns and goals

  • Relevant personal history

  • How therapy works and what you can expect moving forward

You’re not expected to have everything figured out—this session moves at your pace and is focused on creating a safe, supportive starting point.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.

  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the session time, or non-attendance, are non-refundable.

This policy helps ensure availability for all clients and respects the time set aside for your session.

What if I need urgent or emergency help?

Our services are not suitable for emergencies. If you are in immediate danger or need urgent support, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis support service in your country.

For those in Australia, if you or someone you know is in crisis and needs help now, call triple zero (000). You can also call Lifeline on 13 11 14 — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Can you provide support letters/court reports?

No. We do not provide court reports, forensic assessments, or documentation for legal proceedings, including family law or custody matters.
